Although the rapper has spoken (and rapped) about his mum a lot in the past he’s never really talked about his absent father.
He
told US show 60 Minutes: “I never knew him, never met him, never knew
him, I don't know (if I want to see him). Some people ask me that, and I
don't think I do.”
Shady
continued: “I can't understand how (he could leave us). If my kids
moved to the edge of the earth, I'd find them. No doubt in my mind. No
money, no nothing - if I had nothing I'd find my kids. So there's no
excuse.”
The rapper gave an in depth interview to 60 Minutes on Sunday, also admitting that he got bullied at school.
And
Em’ also told the show that his colour encouraged him to succeed. He
explained: “There was certainly a rebellious youthful rage in me, And no
getting away from the fact I am white and this is predominantly black
music, and people telling me, 'You don't belong and you're not gonna
succeed because you're this colour.'”
